Countdown to the start of the 2026/27 season
The story of our league
2013 - The league was formed comprising of 5 teams whose players were at the wrong end of the scale for the 35+ league.
2014 - The league increases to 7 teams with teams joining from Worcestershire.
2016 - Worcestershire teams leave to form their own league (now thriving) and 2 teams join from Buckinghamshire.
2021 - With more teams joining (1 from Wiltshire) the league splits into 2 divisions (7 and 6 teams).
2022 - Now up to 15 teams, things are starting to really take off.
2023 - With the 50+ divisions maturing the need for a 60+ division becomes apparent, 4 teams enter.
2024 - The 50+ divisions now total 18 teams, the 60+ division grows to 6, in addition a new 40+ division is created with 5 teams.
2025 - The 50+ divisions now total 19 teams, the 40+ and 60+ division both have 7 teams.
2026 - The 50+ divisions reach 20 teams, the 40+ and 60+ divisions now both have 8 teams.
The growth of all 3 age groups has surpassed expectations but also gives so many positives going forward.
